The platform consists of independent subsystems. Each subsystem is built with a mix of our proprietary specialized software and best-of-breed third-party products.

Each of our subsystems is independently scalable. Each communicates with the others internally via loosely coupled message queuing of the phluXChange server. This allows the platform to automatically manage the load and scale linearly, even across geographic locations.

phluXMobile Messages are basically XML files containing tags that describe key features of the messages, including topic, urgency, formatting and whether a response is required. These and many other attributes give them a unique "intelligence" that ordinary emails lack. phluXMobile Messages can be sent anywhere - to email accounts, fax machines, wireless devices, telephones and future devices as they emerge. XSL (Extensible Style Sheet) transforms the XML data generated from the Result set of the Database into any user-defined format on the fly.

This helps in completely isolating the presentation from the logic.

e.g. A different XSL is selected on the fly to generate WML more compatible to the Nokia WAP- enabled phone, and another is selected on the fly for say a Siemens cell phone . The phone information of the client is gathered at the time of his/her registration.


phluXMobile Modules

Content Harvester
Content harvester grabs the news content continuously from varied data-sources. Using our Dynamic Query Binding Technology, it maps the DB Schema to the XML Schema specific to the targeted domain. Content Harverster also fetches data from various datasources from the service providers through HTTP/SMTP, receives the XML document, then using XML DOM Parser, parses the various business specific data from the XML Document. This module is highly scalable, and extensible to target various business domains including finance, e-commerce, health, travel etc. 

HTML Content Parser
Using the document URL, the HTML Content Parser parses out the news content from the complex HTML tree. This is a generic module which extracts out the content from the source and pushes the news into the Database.  

User Preference Manager
phluXMobile provides Registration and User Preference Manager modules, allowing users to register and manage their content preferences. Preference management includes selecting any number of categories out of the available content categories, providing search grammar for each category, and mapping each category with related keywords, to be used from the cell-phone. 

Personal Folder Manager
phluXMobile's Folder Manager lets users manage their personal folders on the server. Folder Manager module allows phluXMobile users to add / delete different categorized content in his/her personal folder. The content in the personal folder(s) can be viewed from the Mobile Device as well as the standard web-browser.

Content Sender
Content Sender works in parallel with the Content Grabber. As the content is being grabbed, (depending upon the searching grammar user has provided) the Content Sender sends the category-name/headline/content-id of the preferred content to the respective user as an SMS on their cell-phones. It utilizes the SMS Mail Sender facility to accomplish this task.

SMS Mail Sender
SMS Mail Sender module utilizes the Java Mail API to send the mails and SMS, containing the service dependent messages to the registered clients either on their mail accounts or SMS accounts, as preferred by the user.

Wap Content Viewer
Detailed content can be read on the cell-phone by either entering the content-id of a particular news OR entering the Hot Key which fetches the list of latest content-ids mapped to the key.

On selecting/entering the content-id the content can be seen on a WAP-enabled cell phone

XSL Transformation
The WML is generated on the fly by applying the respective XSL ( Extensible Style Sheet ) on the XML data generated from the result set of the database.

Content Formatter
Content Formatter formats the content to make it compatible with the cell-phone. Content Formatter breaks up the content into chunks of 200 characters, for each deck of content on the micro-browser.
